Begin the American Express application process by accessing the website and clicking on the three-line menu which you can find on the top left corner of the page. 

From there, select “cards” and then choose “view all credit cards” to proceed. On the subsequent page, navigate to The Platinum Card® and click on the arrow pointing to the right located beside it. 

This will direct you to a page that contains detailed information about the card. To apply for the card, locate the “apply now” button and click on it. The website will then direct you to the application form page. 

Provide your full name, first and last name, which will appear on your brand new Platinum Card®. Also, enter your email address, date of birth, mobile phone number, and home address in the appropriate fields.

If you don’t have a credit history in the U.S but have had a credit card or loan in the countries you find on the page, select the checkbox and provide your social security number.

Enter your total annual income, non-taxable income (optional), and income source in the fields below. Make sure to double check to ensure you are submitting the right information.

If you’re willing to receive a one-time text message to download the American Express® app once you’re approved, select the checkbox.

Afterwards, select “continue to terms,” review the terms on the next page, and then click “Agree & Submit Application” to complete the process. Congrats, you’re finished!

Now sit back and relax. You will receive a decision within a few minutes, and if you get approval for The Platinum Card® from American Express, you should receive the card in a few business days.
