If you have limited or poor credit and are looking for a card that can help you build credit, the Reflex® Platinum Mastercard® might be a good fit.

However, you should keep an eye open for its fees. Read on and find out why.

Reflex® Platinum Mastercard®: how does it work?

The Reflex® Platinum Mastercard® is an ok credit card for individuals with bad credit. However, this card has high fees and high-interest rates, which makes it a bad choice.

This card charges a $75-$99 annual fee, $30 for additional cards, and $120 annual maintenance fees billed at $10 per month.

Moreover, the APR ranges from 24.99% to 29.99%, which is high, and there are no rewards or sign-up bonuses.

The card is only good for rebuilding credit, but there are other secured credit cards with no annual fees that may be better for this purpose.

The initial credit limit ranges up to $1,000, but the fees can reduce that. Although diligent payment can double the credit limit up to $2,000, it’s not worth paying high fees.

For example, the Capital One Platinum Secured Credit Card requires a security deposit, but it has no annual fee.

As another example, the Discover it® Secured Credit Card requires a deposit that determines your credit limit, but it can range up to $2,500.

Moreover, the WebBank-issued Petal® 2 “Cash Back, No Fees” Visa® Credit Card, requires no annual fees, and earns rewards.

In summary, if you have limited or bad credit, the Reflex® Platinum Mastercard® is not worth the high fees and high-interest rates.

Instead, explore other credit cards with fewer fees and better rewards to build credit history.
